I also promised you a few sleepers yesterday. Here they are.

Paulino hit above .300 last year and has more than secured his spot as the Pirates starting catcher. He’s had some troubles in the Dominican Winter League with his average, but you should still expect him to do well in ‘07 (even though he won’t hit over .300 again). I can see his power numbers going up as he matures and as he benefits from hitting in the middle of the lineup versus 8th. His numbers should look like .286/.341/.414 with 11 HR’s.

If Iannetta can win the #1 catcher’s job in Colardo, he will be a very good sleeper pick. His average could soar in Denver and hitting in that lineup and ballpark surely won’t hurt his power numbers. Expect .275/.360/.461 and 13 HR’s if he gets 400+ AB’s.
