Obviously you're a better player than Willy "I'm a homeless man's Juan Pierre" Taveras, but those small-ball guys are oh-so-tempting to old school managers when a team's offense is struggling. Since Willy can't hit to save his job, he's doing the only thing he can that has any offensive value. Why put the guy with a .400 OBP in the leadoff spot when you've got a guy with SPEEEEED? As a fantasy manager, all you can do is support the better player in these situations, and hope the team's smart enough to do the same. Willy can steal 100 bases this year if he wants, but it's still not going to make his .236/.294/.292 (in Coors! Come on!) worth a starting job. Pray for the Rockies to figure it out, as it looked like they did a week ago. Damn Ryan, it looks like I did.
