I'd love to read more about your research. Care to share?

I don't draft the first pitcher taken in any draft (it's dangerous to draft any SP with such a high draft pick), but I've just completed 3 days of in depth study looking at the history of the best 26 SP I can think of since the hey day of guys like Clemens and Maddux to the present Santana and Sabathia. The purpose of my research was actually intended to help me identify the best younger pitchers who might be available in the later rounds, but it revealed some very interesting trends that foretell problems with many of the proven veterans who will go very early. 3 of the names on your list and a couple other major stars at that position are huge risks that I wouldn't take in the top 3 rounds this year - period!
