I was at The Ted last night and witnessed a completely overpowering performance from [tag]Chicago Cubs[/tag] starter [tag]Rich Hill[/tag]. Hill shut down the Atlanta Braves last night pitching 8 innings, giving up 4 hits while striking out 7 and walking 3. And get this… he lowered his ERA to 0.41. Geez, we hyped this guy all spring to a point where he vaulted out of sleeper status before throwing a regular season pitch. As it looks now, all of the hype was warranted.

His fast ball was in the low 90’s, his off-speed pitch in the low 80’s, but where he truly made Braves hitters look bad last night was with his low 70’s breaking pitch. It was truly a phenomenal pitch last night.

With a 3-0 record and that superb ERA, is there anyone still laughing at you for taking Hill a bit too early in your draft?
