Hi there. My name is Geoff, and I blog about baseball in general at Knuckle Curve, and about the Padres in particular at Ducksnorts.
My fantasy baseball experience is pretty varied, though it doesn’t occupy as much of my time these days as it once did. I first started with Rotisserie Baseball in 1984 (Lance Parrish, Damaso Garcia, Alan Trammell, Kirk Gibson, and a craptastic pitching staff led by the forgettable Ken Schrom), which I played through the early-’90s. Then I turned my focus to Scoresheet Baseball, which combines the benefits of Roto (using current season stats) and tabletop games such as Strat-O-Matic (simulation that more properly reflects value in the real game of baseball — no more worshipping of Vince Coleman and his 581 OPS in 1986).
This past season I played in seven Scoresheet leagues and won two of them. I also played in three Roto leagues, but I finished out of the money in all those — my mind has been forever warped by Scoresheet, which taught me to think like a big-league GM instead of an accountant. Ah well. Now you know who I am…

Hi Everyone, Lou here from the Baseball Lab. As you know from Sooze and Ian, while Knox is away testifying in front of George Mitchell’s investigation, he hit a few us up to keep his readers from rebelling.
I am not much of an ‘up to the minute’, daily events type blogger. Rather I prefer to look back at the past (sometimes 100 years, sometimes last week) or peek into the future (projections!) but hopefully I can do as good a job as Knox, Sooze, and Ian. I’ll be making one post today, later on this morning, about some interesting trends in the shortstop and outfield ranks, showing why it’s best to draft one earlier than the other.
In the meantime, why not take a minute and complete Tom Tango’s survey, the 2007 Scouting Report by the Fans for the Fans. Share your knowledge, have some fun.

Just wanted to introduce myself to everyone. I am Ian from SOX & Dawgs and I will be your second guest blogger in a short list of great ones.
It should be an interesting day of posting as unlike my predecessor Sooze, I do know a little something about fantasy baseball, having won my fantasy league this year on a tiebreaker. My team made a miraculous run the last week of the season to tie the first place team and force the tiebreaker. I’d say I’m pretty good at it but the moves I made to help me actually hurt me a little bit. But needless to say after my 4th place finish last season and first year in the money, it was good to win it for once.
I’ll do my best to give you news about all the players and teams today but you should expect a little Red Sox flavor as they are the main baseball team I blog about. I’ll spare you the UConn Huskies stuff over here at Crooked Pitch since this is a fantasy baseball blog and not a college sports blog.
If you have any questions or comments for me, just shoot me an email.
So sit back, relax, grab your favorite morning beverage and enjoy.

I’m Sooze from Babes Love Baseball, and I’ll be your guest blogger this afternoon.
Since I suck at fantasy baseball, I won’t be giving any tips today. In fact, if you have tips, questions or love letters, you can send them here.
Buckle up people! This is going to be an incredibly shaky ride.

I’m taking off for a work/vacation trip and won’t be returning until Sunday, November 18th. But, I’m not going to leave you high and dry. I’ve nagged convinced a few guest bloggers to help out while I am away.
I think you’ll love the voice each and every one of these baseball experts brings to Crooked Pitch. And, I for one, am really looking forward to what they have to say. So, starting Sunday (11th), six different people are going to be taking over this blog.
Let’s everyone play nice…

I just wanted to send out a quick note to tell everyone that I have joined Fantasy Insider Online as a staff writer. I’ll let you guys know when new content from me gets posted over there.
As for now, you can go read my article about keeping up with Fall and Winter baseball, for your fantasy team’s sake.

You’ve found my little baseball spot on the web. I’ve got a few directions that I want to drive this baseball blog in, but instead of planning a course right now, I hope to meander through topics like;
- Fantasy baseball
- APBA baseball
- Sabermetrics
- Baseball history
and get a good feel of where I want to go and what you guys as readers want to look at.
